Lucas Malet

Lucas Malet was the pseudonym of Mary St. Leger Kingsley (1852–1931), one of the most daring and psychologically astute novelists of the late Victorian era. Her masterpiece The History of Sir Richard Calmady (1901) was considered scandalous for its frank treatment of physical disability and sexual desire — Nietzsche himself owned a copy.
