Frederic Boase

Frederic Boase (1843–1916) was a British lawyer, antiquary, and bibliographer. His monumental Modern English Biography — a biographical dictionary of notable British figures who died between 1850 and 1900 — remains an essential reference work for Victorian and Edwardian history.
